Services: Accessible Design Compliance (Design-Build)
Retained by architectsAlliance / KPMB (joint venture) as Accessibility Consultant to conduct accessible design compliance reviews for 6 residential blocks including the YMCA and George Brown Student Housing facilities for the Pan Am Athletes’ Village. Participation in design team meetings and workshops, and ongoing advisory services related to implementation of accessibility standards for both the Games and Legacy phases of the project.

Phase 1 involves the Athletes’ Village to house 10,000 athletes and officials during 2015 Pan/Parapan Athlete Games designed for immediate conversion into a permanent mixed-use residential community;

YMCA community centre (7,700 square metres) and student residence (17,500 square metres) for Block 1/14;

Market housing (31,500 square metres for Block 4 and 28,900 square metres for Block 11); and

Affordable rental housing (9,500 square metres for Block 3 and 12,900 square metres for Block 15).
