SPH has expertise in conducting accessible design compliance reviews and facility accessibility audits specific to Library environments, including the development of comprehensive compliance reports, accessibility audit reports (e.g., for barrier identification) and barrier removal action plan reports (e.g., providing cost estimates, remedial recommendations and establishing priorities). Recent examples of projects for public libraries and clients include:

  • University of Windsor: Facility accessibility audits of Law and Leddy Libraries.
  • Town of Halton Hills: Accessible design compliance for Acton Library. Project designed by Chamberlain Architect.
  • Town of Richmond Hill: Facility accessibility audits of Central, Moraine, Richmond Green and Richvale Libraries.
  • City of Hamilton:  Facility accessibility audits of Central, Terry Berry, Dundas Street, Kenilworth, Locke Street, Stoney Creek Municipal Centre and Ancaster Municipal Centre Libraries.
