A recent article by Carolyn Glaser in Healthcare Design magazine proposes that designers of healthcare facilities should review "what universal design feature can they add to ensure a space can work for people of all ages?". Additionally, this article reviews important considerations to address the needs of users of all ages and abilities, applicable to both new construction and/or extensive renovations of healthcare environments.
