ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development

Services: Accessible Design Compliance (Pursuit Phase)

SPH was retained as Accessibility Consultant, for the DBFM (Design Build Finance Maintain) pursuit stage of this project, as part of the proponent team PCL Partnerships, one of three shortlisted firms invited to submit a DBFM proposal to Infrastructure Ontario.

As identified by Infrastructure Ontario, the ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development is the largest of Ontario’s 20 children’s treatment centres, treating more than 13,500 children and youth with disabilities each year in Peel, Halton and Dufferin. The three new facilities will allow ErinoakKids to consolidate programs and services from ten existing sites and will be purpose-built for children with disabilities. The largest facility will be approximately 122,000 square feet and will be located in Brampton, with the other two sites in Mississauga and Oakville, approximately 93,000 and 74,000 square feet respectively.
