Services: Accessible Design Compliance
SPH conducted a comprehensive accessible design review of two new arena facilities, on behalf of Haldimand County, including:

Cayuga Memorial Arena: NHL size ice pad with seating for 474 people. Includes an elevated walking track, upper level meeting / common viewing room with kitchen, and ground floor concession.

Dunnville Memorial Arena: NHL size ice pad with seating for over 1,000 people. Includes an elevated walking track and a ground floor community room.
Detailed project reporting was prepared for the design team to identify accessibility non-compliance and to provide recommendations for improvements, as well as ongoing consultation with the client group at various stages of the project to assist with implementation. Both arenas were designed by INVIZIJ Architects (formerly Garwood-Jones & Hanham Architects).
