Services: Facility Accessibility Retrofits (FAR)

Conducted accessible design reviews for retrofits of 10 facilities, including libraries, theatres, arenas and community centres. Advised on the implementation of accessible design criteria for proposed renovations (e.g., budget scope of $3.2 million) including application of Provincial accessibility standards for the built environment developed as part of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and local, national and international accessibility best practices. On behalf of client, advised on issues that arose during project tendering and detailed design to ensure successful implementation.
