Toronto Transit Commission  

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) retained SPH to conduct an independent review of the required longitudinal slope of station platform surfaces, applicable to proposed Transit City LRT routes. SPH carried out an extensive literature review of North American and European LRT systems and existing accessible design standards, interviewed key industry experts and conducted consultation with TTC / Transit City personnel. A comprehensive research report was developed for this project integrating stakeholder feedback and presenting final recommendations for consideration by the TTC.
