SPH has extensive experience with a wide range of recreation facilities, competitive sports venues and leisure areas such as parks, playspaces and trails. Recent project experience includes:
  • Facility accessibility audits of hundreds of recreational sites and buildings;
  • Accessible design consultation for Parks and Trails Master Plan projects;
  • Accessibility audits for hundreds of parks and playspaces for children of all age groups and for multiple municipalities;
  • Accessibility audits of over 100 kilometres of trails using the Universal Trail Assessment Process (UTAP);
  • Development of Inclusive Playspace Policy including stakeholder consultation; and
  • Accessibility consultant supporting Provincial research study related to accessibility and health outcomes.
