Services: Facility Accessibility Audit

Originally constructed in the 1950's (with addition in 1964 and ongoing upgrades), SPH conducted a comprehensive facility accessibility audit of both exterior and interior areas, with detailed recommendations for barrier-removal to inform the design team and the redevelopment of a new elementary school to be built on the site. This accessibility study was part of a broader detailed renewal study for this 3-storey school, serving over 500 Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 students at the time. The facility included classrooms, administrative offices, a multi-purpose room with stage, a library, a computer room and a staff lounge.
